Disposition, attitude, outlook...all reflections of an internal state. "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
We can enter our training session out of duty and obligation but perhaps be whiny and grumpy about it inside. OR! Enter our session by turning our mind and heart on gratefulness and thankfulness that we have the opportunity to work on our health despite circumstances that can make it challenging or discouraging. However, one will make the workout feel like a chore and the other will bring joy and nurture your spirit as well! Our training journey is very much a life of experience and learning as we go. We all respond to different motivational stimulus and methods...in this, we are not the same. But, disciplining ourselves to a positive, uplifted mind only reaps good things for us, and in this, we are the same.
What kind of "mental food" do we feed ourselves?
