I made all the mistakes.
Yes, when I first entered the world of training, I over programmed, changed workouts constantantly ( I was afraid my clients would be bored so I went overboard lol), too dogmatic in my thinking, and the list goes on. The interesting thing though is that my clients still got fitter and healthier even though I made an abudance of errors. Through those errors I discovered that training is like the Venn Diagram. Training philosphy and protocols can fall on either side, but the way forward is often that space in the middle. The space where context matters, humanity of client matters, and an undertanding that building muscle, becoming healthier, losing fat is simple and complex all at once. The processes are quite simple, but humans aren't. The space in the middle understands that fitness growth can happen in many forms and mediums; and those that say it's only this way or that are selling their agenda. Yes, there are methods and ways that produce faster results, but narrowing our view of what we can or cannot do does no favors.
