ABOUT ME

MONICA  BOLDT

Welcome!  As a fitness and health professional that has been in the industry for over a decade, I am always aiming for progress by constantly learning and educating  to provide my clients the best for their individual needs. Sustainable fitness throughout the decades is my goal, personally, and with those I train.  My background includes being a certified personal trainer, kettlebell specialist (Strong First Elite), Indian clubs coach, as well as a certified Stick Mobility coach.  

Prevention is my modus operandi.  Therefore, helping others to become more in-tune to their bodies and discovering their own protocols that serve their health is highly encouraged.  Through no-nonsense nutritional tools, I provide support and resources to bring awareness in eating patterns and food choices.  Lastly, building resilient bodies through movement patterns that incorporate mobility, dynamic flexibility, coordination and strength is my passionate approach to a holistic fitness lifestyle.

Function N' Motion was a great class and Monica is an excellent trainer. With my torn rotator, I have trouble lifting weights and doing push-ups, planks and other like exercises. Using the stick mobility and clubs I have gained more motion in that shoulder.  This style of workout  allows to me to strengthen all of my muscles and goes well with my walking/running.  I also like that this workout allows me to do this at home when it fits my schedule. No weights needed! I would definitely recommend you try this program out.

Knowing nothing about Indian clubs made the course seem intimidating. Monica made it fun and easy to follow, the time flew by and

Indian Club Workshop:

Fantastic workshop! While ideally suited for those new to Indian Clubs, it was also great for intermediate club swingers like me, who are always looking to refine their skills. Student to teacher ratio was ideal, and Monica is exceptionally good at noticing detail and diagnosing problems. Subsequent workshops increasing in skill level can’t happen soon enough for me!

Indian Club Workshop:

I attended Monica's Indian Club Foundations workshop in Charleston, SC after getting some coaching from her in basic club patterns. And she did not disappoint!  Her energy, attention to detail, sense of humor and ability to break down and communicate complex movements was like the teaching equivalent of her club swinging – Graceful and precise.

An added bonus is having access to her beginner and intermediate courses - to refresh on the many skills we learned during, and additional skills that build on the foundational skills.  All in all, a great workshop from a great person.

I can’t say enough great things about Monica’s Function N’ Motion 5 week intro class.  I have an old shoulder injury that has deteriorated over the last 18 months and by the end of this class I have most of my range of motion back as well as the strength and confidence to do a one arm dead hang.  I found the classes to be both educational and challenging and was surprised to see how my heart rate would climb into the light cardio range.  It was an all around great experience and I look forward to more content to build with.
