The Wonderful World of Inspiration!

In the fitness realm, we become aware that motivation is a fleeting friend and not something to put your trust in. It's great and magical when it comes-you can conquer the world-but our truest and most reliable friend is discipline. Discipline will remain beside you when the good feelings leave, when circumstances are less than ideal, when plans are interrupted, when accountability or support is not always around. But discipline uninspired can leave you a bit lacking, dried up, and feeling like a machine instead of a human. That's where discipline's side-kick comes along...Inspiration! Yes, inspiration is a feeling, but it also brings forth abundant creativity and moves in a positive way to encourage and bring fulfillment. Without inspiration we can become dutiful to the hand of discipline and perhaps end up only serving ourself. But inspiration, on the other hand, leads to serving others. The more you inspire yourself, you can inspire others!

Finding inspiration is as simple as searching for those things that nourish your soul, your hopes, your ideals, and embracing learning new things. Within one's fitness and health journey, there are endless ways to feed yourself inspiration. Sometimes it will come as you help and serve others...working out with a buddy, making a healthy meal for them, encouraging them with a note. Other times, it's reflected as you pursue a new fitness skill, communing with nature, or trying new recipes that are colorful, chock full of healthy foods, and aesthetically pleasing. Inspiration makes the senses come alive! It brings balance and harmony to discipline making them an unstoppable duo!

Inspiration is contagious! The more you become inspired the more others will join in too!
